Ivorian cooperatives need a fast and cost-effective way to peel cassava. Cassava Appeal has invented a mechanized cassava peeler that meets this need, saving cooperatives thousands of dollars and hours of pain. Unlike other cassava peeling machines in the market, Cassava Appeal’s machine is significantly less expensive and tailored to the end user. Cassava Appeal will partner with a government affiliated Ivorian organization (I2T) and a prominent international development organization (TechnoServe) to manufacture, sell, distribute and service the machine, raising the income of rural Cote d’Ivoire cooperatives.
