Post-operative infections are a devastating, life-threatening surgical complication affecting 1 of 4 surgical patients in low-resource settings. Surgical site infections are frequently a result of errors in instrument reprocessing – a task that is entrusted to nurses with little to no formal training. CleanKit is an educational toolbox designed for scale in a train-the-trainer model to protect patients by bringing education in sterile processing where it is needed most.
