MELD’s mission is to address three of India’s problems: pollution, unemployment and the unavailability of cheap materials to design products for the rural poor. MELD uses an innovative low cost, low energy technology process to transform readily available plastic scrap into useful materials and end-products while providing employment to a substantial number of the poor.
