In Haiti, the devastation caused by the 2010 earthquake is still present in destroyed buildings, damaged roads, and residents left permanently disabled. The infrastructural, medical and social challenges of this environment are especially difficult for those Haitians with spinal cord injury (SCI), who often suffer from social isolation and deep depression.  Team Cathalyst empowers SCI sufferers with the tools to leave home and re-integrate into the community. Our first product is the Cathalyst, a kit for discreetly cleaning, drying and storing catheters on-the-go. With our partners MASS Design, architects for improved health, and St. Boniface, the largest SCI rehabilitation center in Haiti, we plan to bring this product to market in Haiti, then the rest of the developing world.
